Marko KOVAČ, PhD, numerical analysss expert, Energy Efficiency Centre, Jozef Stefan Institute
Dr Marko Kovač completed his studies in mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, in 1996, receiving his Masters and Doctorate, both part of the nuclear engineering programme, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana. He started working at the Reactor Engineering Division, Jožef Stefan Institute, as a junior researcher in 1997; in 2004, he began working as project manager in charge of technical support to the key account of electromotor components at Hidria, before being engaged in its numerical simulations of metal transformation and casting; Marko has been employed at the Energy Efficiency Centre, Jožef Stefan Institute, since 2017, with a focus on photovoltaics and battery system implementation, and e-mobility and energy system integration. He has cooperated on many projects, both Slovenian and international, on academic and industrial topics. He has published several scientific, expert and non-technical articles in the field of energy, engineering and natural sciences.
